Exploring the musical legacy of Prince and beyond
Join Mark Mallman for a musical celebration of peace and love. This must-see annual show highlights secular classics from John Lennon to Nat King Cole as well as special guests and stories to warm your heart this holiday season!
Minneapolis music icon Mark Mallman's expansive catalog of infinitely catchy and masterfully orchestrated songs has rocked the airwaves worldwide from MTV to NPR. He has been covered by critics from USA Today to Wired to NME. His latest full-length album, The End Is Not The End, marks number eight in his ever-growing creative output, showcasing his expertly crafted brand of indie rock. He's spent the last 20 years releasing albums, touring, and most recently as a published author. His wild stage persona precedes him, but stepping back one sees a sweeping body of work.
Mallman reaches a new level of creativity and intimacy with his debut book, The Happiness Playlist, an uplifting and poetic memoir about six months spent listening exclusively to uplifting songs. In the book's forward, author Chuck Klosterman describes Mark Mallman as "legitimately original, exclusively motivated by a desire to conquer the strange obstructions he builds inside his head."
Mid-career, Mallman has broken new ground by singing via telepresence robot, EEG MIDI brain control music, and the world's first transcontinental musical webcast. Aside from perfect rock songs, he is held in awe by fans and critics for his non-stop, non-sleep "Marathon" performances (the longest spanning 78 hours).
