Arzu Gokcen and Christy Hunt met shortly after high school in Minneapolis. But it wasn't until Hunt ended her two-year stint on the road with the Von Bondies that the two came together to form Pink Mink.

The duo is not unfamiliar to the Minneapolis music scene. Gokcen has played with several Twin Cities bands, including the Selby Tigers, Lefty Lucy and Strut and Shock, and Hunt with Ouija Radio. Drummer Charles Gehr also plays with Ouija Radio, and bassist Jacques Wait is currently playing in The Twilight Hours and Iquano.
Pink Mink recently won City Page's "Picked to Click" and stopped by The Current studios to perform on The Local Show.
