Sam Roberts Band performs in The Current studio

The Sam Roberts band, the five-person Canadian indie-rock band led by their namesake singer-songwriter, recently released their fourth full-length album, Collider. The album offers more of the band's trademark catchy, classic-rock-infused style, but features surprising and interesting guest contributions from members of Chicago rockers Califone and Afrobeat revivalists Antibalas.
Sam Roberts performed in a couple of 1990s rock bands before striking out under his own name in the early 2000s, soon forming his eponymous band and releasing a debut LP, We Were Born in a Flame, that garnered substantial buzz in Canada and the U.S. That album was followed by the sophomore effort Chemical City in 2006 and Love at the End of the World in 2008.
The Sam Roberts band is touring North America this summer and stopped by The Current studios for a session.
Songs performed: "I Feel You," "Twist The Knife" and "Without A Map."
