9:30 Coffee Break: Luck of the Irish

March 15, 2013

This weekend is St. Patrick's Day, which in Ireland is still a religious holiday with visits to the church, but here in the US is more of a general Irish pride fest.

We decided to focus on one aspect of the Irish for today's Coffee Break, their luck. What songs about luck or being lucky do you want to hear for today's 9:30 Coffee Break?

You can still sign up for our Coffee Break on the Road. Jill and Steve will show up at your job with coffee and treats from Bryant Lake Bowl and bring musical guest John Mark Nelson to play a few songs. Let us know why we should visit you at: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org

Songs Played:

Magnetic Fields - "The Luckiest Guy on the Lower Eastside"

Ben Folds - "The Luckiest"

Frank Sinatra - "Luck Be a Lady"

Screamin' Jay Hawkins - "Time After Time"

Emerson, Lake and Palmer - "Lucky Man"
