Rock the Garden expands to two days

Why Rock the Garden for a day when you can rock it for two?

The Walker and 89.3 The Current's annual summer concert returns Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, 2014, 3 to 10 p.m. each day, with the first two-day format in the event's history. Doug Benidt, Associate Curator, Performing Arts at the Walker comments, "With an informed audience, an in-tune partner, and a picture perfect location already in place, a two-day Rock the Garden is a soundly logical next step. It's an exciting evolution for this beloved event and illuminates a simple truth... the only thing better than live music is more live music." Jim McGuinn, Program Director, 89.3 The Current adds, "As Rock the Garden has grown over the past few years, we've been looking for a way to allow more fans to enjoy the experience - the music, the setting, the feeling of summer lifting off that accompanies each year's show. We look forward to filling the weekend with artists and making this festival a blowout that showcases some of the best music from both our backyards and around the world."

Rock the Garden 2014 will be held on the greenspace adjacent to the Walker. Event times are subject to change.
