For this morning's Vinyl Tap, we played "Girlfriend" by Pebbles, written and produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface.

In the song from Pebbles' 1987 self-titled debut album, the lyrics say, "Girlfriend / How could you let him treat you so bad / Girlfriend / You know you were the best he ever had".
