Kari Arnett's first full-length album, 'When the Dust Settles,' is just being released, and it's already turning some heads in the way Arnett writes about love, loss, success and disappointment. Arnett will soon be relocating from the Upper Midwest to Nashville, but we got her to bring her band into the Radio Heartland studio to talk about the next steps in her exciting career.

Pushing Chain have been playing up and down the shores of Lake Superior for years, but more recently have expanded their song list and road trips. Their new album, 'Sorrows Always Swim,' was recorded in Austin, Texas, blending Pushing Chain's self-described 'folky-tonk' sound with gutsy, classic Texas country. Pushing Chain stopped at Radio Heartland to play some songs from the new album.
