Proclaiming to be better than both birthday cake and birthday parties, the local duo Birthday Suits blow out the candles with their heavy hitting noise-rock. After forming the band in 2005, Matthew Kazama and Hideo Takahashi released their first full length "Cherry Blue." The release was met with a lot of buzz, and Birthday Suits were given the title of Best Live Band of 2006 by City Pages.
The buzz has continued with national, European and West Coast tours and with a recent 3 day stop at SXSW. Birthday Suits' second full length, "The Minnesota: Mouth to Mouth," is out now.
