The Caravelles were a British female duo who had a hit in 1963 when they recorded the country song "You Don't Have to be a Baby to Cry."

It was their best known song and it was originally a hit for Moon Mullican, and then was used as the B-side to Tennessee Ernie Ford's hit single "Sixteen Tons."

The Caravelles version of "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry" reached #3 in the Billboard Hot 100 in America.
