Nomadic singer-songwriter Lissie stunned audiences with her debut full-length Catching a Tiger, which showcased her astonishingly raw and emotive voice and smart, soulful lyrical sensibility. She's followed it up with a smattering of EPs and singles, including her beloved cover of Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness." Details remain scarce on her follow-up full-length, supposedly due out later this year.

In the meantime, we'll have to make do with her awesome live presence, as she swings through town for a sold-out gig at the Varsity Theater.
