With a successful career spanning more than 45 years, Robert Plant isn't just a talented musician; he's a rock legend. Plant returns in 2014 with his 10th solo release, Lullaby And... The Ceaseless Roar.

The album certainly references Americana music from a particular time — especially "Little Maggie" and "Poor Howard" — but Plant admits he has no appetite for nostalgia. "I don't want music to tranquilize me, I want to be stimulated," he says.

And on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 7:45 p.m. Central Time, The Current and NPR Music are teaming up to bring you a live video webcast of Robert Plant and his new band, The Sensational Space Shifters.

The performance is part of the Nonesuch At BAM festival, from the Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, N.Y. The former Led Zeppelin frontman will perform songs from his new album, released earlier this month.

The Current's Bill DeVille recently had a chance to interview Plant; you can find that audio archived here.
