Yesterday, the St. Paul City Council approved a resolution to co-name a portion of Franklin Avenue after the late Minnesota folk-blues legend, Dave Ray. "Dave Ray Avenue" will honor the local musician best-known for his collaborations with "Spider John" Koerner and Tony Glover.

Many musicians have been honored with a street named after them. In fact, there is a cool map tracking down many of the streets in case this Coffee Break inspires you to take a road trip.

For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, let's put together a set of songs from musicians who've had streets named after them. What should we play?

Songs Played:

Koerner Ray and Glover - "Dust My Broom" (Dave Ray Avenue--St. Paul, MN)

The Ramones - "53rd and 3rd" (Joey Ramone Place -- Manhattan, NYC)

Run DMC - "My Adidas" (Run DMC JMJ Way -- Hollis, Queens, NYC)

The Flaming Lips - "Fight Test" (Flaming Lips Alley -- Oklahoma City, OK)

Jimi Hendrix - "Crosstown Traffic" (Jimi Hendrix Way -- Bellingham, WA)

Frank Sinatra - "Fly Me to the Moon" (Frank Sinatra Drive -- Hoboken, NJ)
