In Norah Rendell's travels across Canada as part of The Outside Track, she became aware of the musical gems of the country — songs from Ireland, Scotland and Brittany — that have been passed down through the generations and preserved in the hearts of the people. But most of them were not written down anywhere. The songs existed only in the notes … the musical notes, that is.

Norah is a mother, educator and musician. Her new album, Spinning Yarns is a collection of tunes she's collected in her travels.

Norah stopped by the Radio Heartland studios to chat about her latest project.
