9:30 Coffee Break: Initials in Songs
by Jill Riley and Sean McPherson
September 02, 2015
Our Album of the Week this week is Depression Cherry by Beach House, and that album includes the track "PPP," which we played earlier this morning.
At first, we thought Beach House might be tech heads, and they were talking about "point-to-point protocol." It turns out they're not; instead, they're referring to a poor type of planning that we'd rather not specifically mention on the radio.
But that song title got us thinking that there are a lot of songs out there that have initials for names. Which ones can you think of? Let's build a playlist together.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that have initials in the title? Send us your requests.
Songs Played
ABBA "S.O.S."
Michael Jackson "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)"
Semisonic "F.N.T."
The Beatles "Back in the U.S.S.R."
The Replacements "I.O.U."
Naughty By Nature "O.P.P."
