Our friend and colleague David Campbell has resigned from his job as host of the Local Show and Radio Free Current, and decided to move on and explore other opportunities. His resignation is effective immediately.

A part of the Current since 2007, David has helped introduce hundreds of new local artists to our audience, entertained us with thousands of requests on Radio Free Current, and illuminated our ears with passion and insight.

He has been named Local FM Air Personality of the Year by City Pages, and been instrumental in establishing our relationship with local musicians, helping to make The Current's Local Show what it is today. I know we'll all miss spending our Saturday nights with him. We are grateful for his many contributions to The Current and wish him well in his next chapter.

For the next two weeks David Safar will host The Local Show, and we expect to announce plans for what's next moving forward shortly.
