9:30 Coffee Break: Back to the Future II

Today is Oct. 21, 2015: In the 1989 film, Back to the Future II, Oct. 21, 2015, is the date to which Marty McFly, Doc Emmet Brown and Marty's girlfriend, Jennifer Parker, travel so they can help the McFlys' future children. Naturally, the antics of Biff Tannen intervene to complicate matters.
In 1989, the year 2015 felt distant beyond reach, but director Robert Zemeckis and the rest of his team had fun attempting to imagine what life would be like in 2015. Now that we're actually here on Oct. 21, 2015, we can see there are some things the Back to the Future II team accurately predicted; other things … not so much.
Either way, it's a day to celebrate and to enjoy some good old-fashioned movie geekdom, and that's what's informing our Coffee Break theme.
