There's a line in the chorus of an Austin Plaine song where he sings, "… I know now where I'm going now." That's an understatement. Plaine grew up in central Minnesota and wrote songs in his bedroom. He only played out live a few times while studying at the University of Minnesota, but somehow ended up accepting an invitation to drive to Nashville and record a FULL album of original material. And now he's turning heads (and ears) all over the music industry.

But just in case this new career doesn't work out like he wants, he's also finished his undergraduate studies and is ready to start law school at any time.

Austin Plaine stopped in the Radio Heartland studio to chat about his debut self-titled recording.

"The Cost" (from the album)
"The Other Side Of Town" (live)
"Houston" (live)
All songs from Austin Plaine's debut self-titled album, available on Washington Square Music.
