Claudia Schmidt first noticed it when she met Sally Rogers back in 1981: There was something about these two women that made singing together very natural. And it wasn't just the fact that they often would find themselves wearing the same thing.

During the past thirty-some years, Sally Rogers and Claudia Schmidt have toured together and written songs together even though they've lived in different states for the past few decades. Their new album is called We Are Welcomed, and it's a collection of originals and covers that came together in the studio with ease.

Claudia Schmidt stopped by the Radio Heartland studio to talk about the making of the album and to share a few tracks from the CD.
