Dean Magraw is master guitarist. He rules both the electric and acoustic guitar and has recorded jazz, folk, rock, Celtic, Middle Eastern and blues music … just for starters. Dean is headlining the first concert in the Red House Live at the Landmark Center concert series, on Friday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m., with special guests Butch Thompson on piano and clarinet and vocalist Prudence Johnson.
Dean has collaborated with dozens of musicians all over the world, but the last time he played with Prudence and Butch was right here in the MPR building back in 1990, when they all were part of the recording session for Peter Ostroushko's album, Buddies of Swing.
Dean returned to the Maud Moon Weyerhaeuser Music Studio to play some music and talk about the Red House concert series.
