Music News: Pitchfork Music Festival headliners unveiled

On Monday, the lineup for the 12th annual Pitchfork Music Festival was revealed. The festival takes place in Chicago's Union Park on July 14 to 16, headlined by LCD Soundsystem (Friday), A Tribe Called Quest (Saturday), and Solange (Sunday). (Pitchfork)
New music from Brother Ali
In his first new song since 2012's Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color, Minneapolis rapper Brother Ali spits fiery rhymes which chronicle his life story: "Put pen to paper the first time when I was barely eight or maybe nine/ That was the late Eighties, Reagan time." The accompanying video clip (directed by Maria Juranic) ends with the promise of an upcoming "announcement." Stay tuned. (Rolling Stone)
Elvis Costello announces summer tour
Elvis Costello & the Imposters recently announced a tour of North America, beginning in Berkeley, Calif. on June 3, and ending July 25 in Providence, R.I. The tour will celebrate their acclaimed 1982 album Imperial Bedroom, which landed at No. 233 on The Current's 893 Essential Albums. (Rolling Stone)
New album, new tour from Soundgarden
Soundgarden will soon be hitting the road for the first time in three years, with a U.S. tour starting Apr. 28 in Tampa, Fla. and wrapping up at Rocklahoma in Pryor, Okla. on May 27. The band also confirmed that they're currently in the studio, hard at work on the follow-up to 2012's reunion album, King Animal. (Consequence of Sound)
Watch Ryan Adams cover Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia"
BBC 6 Music is about to celebrate the music of 1994, and part of that celebration includes a recent cover of Bruce Springsteen's Oscar-winning song, "Streets of Philadelphia," performed by Ryan Adams. Adams is currently on a world tour, and will be in town for two shows at the Palace Theater in St. Paul, Minn. on July 28 and 29. (NME)

Lorde teases new music in a mysterious new TV ad
In an ad that ran this weekend in her native New Zealand, Lorde is seen eating food in the back of a vehicle, followed by text that reads "3.2.17 NYC, 3.3.17 NZ," hinting that new music could be coming in the next week. The singer has since shared a crypitic website on social media, imwaitingforit.com, with the phrase, "u hungry?"
Tupac's car for sale
Iconic rapper Tupac Shakur was fatally shot over 20 years ago, while riding in a black BMW after attending a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas. That vehicle has been restored, and is up for sale on Moments in Time — a historical collector's website. The current anonymous owner has listed the sedan, with an asking price of $1.5 million. Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith v. Scott Baio
The wife of Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith recently made headlines after an alleged attack on actor/noted Trump-supporter Scott Baio at a recent elementary school function. Baio accused Smith's wife of berating, cursing, and becoming physically violent with him. Last week, a Ventura County D.A. decided against any charges, leading Smith to celebrate the news by tweeting "Hey Chachi... eat a bag of d***s." The tweet has since been deleted.
