March 02, 2017

International Women's Day is March 8, a global day celebrating the achievements of women.

From midnight to midnight on March 8, The Current will play nothing but women in music across genres and eras, presented by the women of The Current.

You'll hear Patsy Cline, Patti Smith and PaviElle. Laura Marling and Lauryn Hill. Sleater-Kinney, Sharon Jones and St. Vincent. Feist and Fiona Apple. Kate Bush and Kate Nash. Bjork and Billie Holiday, and so much more.

We want you to help us put together the playlist. Submit your song request using the form below and The Current will help you celebrate women in music in a powerful way: with a full 24 hours of women on the radio.

In addition to playing non-stop women on The Current for a full 24 hours, while Brian Oake is volunteering his time with a cause that benefits women, Jill Riley has a stacked lineup of guest hosts for Oake & Riley in the Morning.
