On Monday, My Morning Jacket announced a new tour, kicking off June 22 in Cincinnati, followed by stops in Tennessee, North Carolina, Vermont, and more. One dollar from each ticket purchased will go toward the band's Waterfall Project. The band hasn't released a studio album since 2015's The Waterfall, though frontman Jim James did release a solo album last year, Eternally Even. (Pitchfork)

In other 2017 tour news...

• Following the recent release of their fifth album, Heartworms, The Shins will be extending their current tour with shows in the U.S., Canada, Denmark, Germany, and the United Kingdom. You can even enter for a chance to win the band's first tour bus. (Pitchfork)

• After being announced as a headliner for this year's Governors Ball Music Festival, Tool are hitting the road staring May 24 in Fairfax, Va., with additional stops including Boston, New York, and Chicago. According to the band's website, they promise an "unparalleled sonic and visual experience." Still no promise of a fifth LP, however. (Pitchfork)

• Even Hanson will be mmm-bopping around the world on a summer tour, with an Oct. 10 stop at First Avenue. The band is calling this the "Middle of Everywhere" tour, and will be celebrating 25 years of music (and if that alone doesn't make you feel old: Isaac, 36, is a father of three; Taylor, 33, a father of five; Zac, 31, a father of four). Austin musician shot and wounded during SXSW

After seeing a show at Hotel Vegas during the opening weekend of SXSW, Michael Sanders — guitarist for the band Löwin — was accosted by three men who took his wallet and phone, and then shot him in the shoulder. In an interview with the Austin Chronicle, Sanders said he believes "the robbers were preying on people coming home from concerts." On the band's Facebook page, Löwin wrote, "He is totally on the mend and was blessed with 'best case scenario' conditions as far as being shot goes." (Austin Chronicle)
