Chastity Brown surges to the top for the first time ever! Last week she stopped in to do a session withJill and Brian, talking about her forthcoming new album, and the one she scrapped before that! Her release show is at The Fitz June 2nd.

Lorde slips down a place to accommodate Chastity, she was one of the hundreds of artists at the first weekend of Coachella. She unveiled two new songs, one of which, "Homemade Dynamite" Pitchfork thinks comes awfully close to sticking in the same way "Royals" did.

The xx are playing Coachella again this coming weekend too, check the site for streaming details, which were extensive and VERY well done last weekend. The London based trio also found time to play three sold out nights in San Fran.

Conor Oberst is the highest riser this week up ten places to #5 and he's one of the latest artists to add a date at The Palace Theater in downtown St. Paul, Thursday Sept 7th.

Spoon are back with the highest new entry this week, the second song from Hot Thoughts to chart. They were over in the UK last week and did a session for the BBC's 6Music.

Portugal. The Man are new at #10, with the first song released from an album that is coming later in the summer. I almost asked them when they did a session recently if they minded being considered a 'jam band' by some. I think this answers that question, Trey Anastasio (of Phish fame) has just covered this new song of theirs and they're... thrilled!

Gorillaz have finally released all the details of their new album and world tour, which comes to St. Paul's Roy Wilkins Sept 20th.

Weezer jump in the pool at #13, just in time for the warm up in our weather! They'll make it feel like summer everywhere on a World Tour this year that hits Treasure Island Casino on July 14th with Cold War Kids!

Banjamin Booker's "Witness' album drops June 2nd, the first single is in at #20 this week with a little help from Mavis Staples, the second time this year she has been on the chart as a featured artist, that's another first for her and she'll be at The Fitzgerald Theater, June 17th.

This coming weekend you can see The Magnetic Fields (#18) performing the new 50 Song Memoir over two nights.
