Janelle Monae's number one hit was one of the last musical projects that Prince had a hand in, apparently giving her encouragement to be herself. The new album, "Dirty Computer" comes out on April 27th and here's all Rolling Stone knows about it and a video clip of another single.

Lord Huron leap to #2 on the back of fans wanting a chance to win tickets to The Palace Theater April 22nd for their sold out show! The album, 'Vide Noir,' is out April 20th. Here's the full track listing and a video for this song which, as SPIN says, features a, "fatalistically obsessed narrator."

Three inductions to the Chart Hall of Fame this week, First Aid Kit for the 6th time putting them at #21 on the All-Time HOF Chart, The Decemberists for the
5th time putting them at #24 and Nathaniel Rateliff for the third time. There might still be tickets for both shows for The Decemberists at The Palace this weekend. They've asked Gaelynn Lea from Duluth to open for them.

Ezra Furman climbs eight places after returning to the chart last week. He's written the latest in the 33 1/3 book series covering famous albums on Lou Reed's "Transformer" which comes out April 19th.

Highest new entry this week is from Leon Bridges who's new album "Good Thing" comes out next month. He just dropped another video for 'Bet Ain't Worth The Hand' the second single.

Lucy Dacus is also new at #19, she played a sold out show TONIGHT at The Entry and did an in-studio for us which Jade will play tomorrow Thursday at 12:20 pm. She also made a Senate candidate's playlist.

After blowing our collective minds with their first single "Something for your M.I.N.D." the multi-racial collective of Superorganism blew us away with their session. They were in town for the first time last week to play a sold out show at The Entry.

It's another good week for MN musicians, with three locals still in the Top 10. The MN Music Coalition has declared this whole month to be MN Music Month! Lots of special events are happening including their seminar at St. Catherine's.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win a pair of passes to Greta Van Fleet at the Armory on July 3, 2018!
