Big week for Chart Hall of Fame inductions - Margo Price and Best Coast in for the first time. Jason Isbell and Gorillaz both for the third, which gets them listed on the All Time HOF. Jason goes in at #66 and Gorillaz at #55 because the first time they were inducted was nearly 10 years ago! This project is morphing with the new paradigm as they release singles from their Song Machine.

Biggest climber this week is Phoebe Bridgers, up ten to seven. And there were several write in votes for a new song "Kyoto". Check out a new video and the praise being heaped on Phoebe by Laura Marling on the NME.

Up four places to eight this week is one of the most frequent performers of virtual concerts, with her partner Kevin Morby, Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee has really lent into the new way of getting the word out there. Many of the local musicians who've been singularly doing the same, come together for a Virtual Festival this weekend, Land of 10,000 Streams.

Back up five places to fourteen this week is the rejuvenated Psychedelic Furs, who have just pushed back the release of Made of Rain to mid-summer. Well we've waited nearly 30 years for a new one, so I guess another few months isn't bad. But they have made a video for another tune from it which was released this week.

The highest new entry is another from 'Color Theory' the new album from Soccer Mommy. When I read the Virtual Giglist last week and saw she was playing on something called Club Penguin? I wasn't sure what that meant. Now I know, it's an online children's game which hosted the one off party, which apparently went really well!?

The Killers come in at # 18 with what is a record breaking single for them. It just went to the top of Billboard's Alternative Chart, and it's 13 years since they were last at # 1 which breaks Beck's record of 12 years between Number One hits!

Brand new at nineteen is the long awaited return of Bright Eyes, with their first new music in nine years. They just released the second new song yesterday and still hope to tour, in the UK at least, in the fall.

Nada Surf played one of the last shows in Paris, March 11th, before the lock down went into affect there. They're in the basement space this week with another track from their Never Not Together and are still hoping to play The Fine Line on June 4th which would be one of the first gigs after our stay in place order IF it goes ahead!
