Mary Lucia talks about the new series, Framing Britney Spears, produced by the New York Times and streaming on Hulu and FX. The documentary explores Spears' career as well as the #FreeBritney movement rallying against Spears' court-mandated conservatorship.

"I truly stumbled on this documentary," Mary says. "It's an examination of pop culture and what it can do to somebody that is so young that gets this success this early.

"Once you see the footage of her being hounded," Mary continues, "picked on under the microscope, she's so quick to tears and it makes your heart kind of hurt."

Framing Britney Spears is directed by Samantha Stark. Watch more of what Mary Lucia has to say in the video above.
