Minnesota favorites Laamar and Ber hold the top of the table this week alongside Toronto band The Beaches, who made a stop at The Current before their sold-out show last month. Cage The Elephant and IDLES gained upward momentum this week, moving 9 and 5 spots respectively, while we lost Khruangbin after nine weeks — just shy of reaching Hall of Fame status. New songs from The Avett Brothers, Sunny Day Real Estate, Kings of Leon, and Lizzy McAlpine all made debuts this week.

Visit the Chart Show ballot to vote for your favorite new songs on The Current for next week’s show, including Hozier’s latest, “Too Sweet;” local indie-pop band Bad Bad Hats’ new single, “My Heart Your Heart”; and landing just in time for Record Store Day, Frank Turner’s new single, “Girl From The Record Shop.” This week when you make your Chart Show picks, you’ll be entered for a chance to see Portugal. The Man at First Avenue in Minneapolis on Friday, May 17.

Heads up, Chart Show Voters — as you can see, The Current has a fresh, new website. To vote on your top tracks of the week, you’ll need to create an account.

Then be sure to listen to the Chart Show on Thursday at noon!
