This week on The Message, we are highlighting some of the artists that are coming to town in the coming weeks: Lady Lark, Lady Midnight, Gifted Gab and Blimes Brixton. Sean will share a conversation he had with Rah Fyah aka Maia Maiden of Maia Maiden Productions, who is putting on Friday's Rooted Event (part of the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts' "From the Ground Up" weekend of events).
We will also play the classic jam "The Choice Is Yours (Revisited)" from Black Sheep, whose debut album dropped October 22, 1991.
And we are playing a track from Open Mike Eagle to get everybody ready for our anniversary show on November 1 at the Turf Club!
