Jay-Z just recently teamed up with former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to launch a financial literacy program called the Bitcoin Academy. A couple years ago, 21 Savage also launched a financial literacy program for kids who were locked in as a result of the pandemic. And Nas and Will Smith, they also teamed up to create and launch a financial-literacy app called Step. Now, hip hop usually gets a bad rap for teaching bad money habits, but it's time to start giving credit when it gets it right. R&B, too. And that's why this week on The Message, we're talking financial literacy in hip hop and R&B.

We’ll hear a songs from BIA and Wu-Tang Clan, plus a throwback from Tony! Toni! Toné!, and the latest from Pharrell Williams!
