With their current lineup comprising founding members Rachael Price (vocals), Bridget Kearney (bass), and Michael Calabrese (drums) — as well as keyboardist/vocalist Akie Bermiss and touring guitarist James Cornelison — Lake Street Dive continue to create joyously soulful rock and roll.Shervin Lainez
I’ve got a set of new music (Lake Street Dive, Plains, Dr. John, Thorbjorn Risager & the Black Tornado), a set of music from some “parent/child” duos, a couple of Grammy-nominated artists (Anais Mitchell, Molly Tuttle) and some tunes from the 1960s bluegrass duo of Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard.
Hazel Dickens & Alice Gerrard began playing together in the bluegrass and old-time music scene in and around the bars and house parties of Baltimore and Washington, DC, in the mid-to-late 1950s.

Over the course of his six-decade-long career, Dr. John embodied a near-mythic multitude of musical identities: global ambassador of New Orleans funk and jazz and R&B, visionary bluesman, rock and roll innovator, one-time top 10 hitmaker, self-anointed and massively revered high priest of psychedelic voodoo.
