All Sweet Things: A Celebration of Black Love
w/ Mayyadda, Jackson Hurst, Traiveon & Candi
Mayyadda is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Minneapolis who aspires to use her music to make people slow down, find themselves in another perspective, and feel their way towards individual and collective healing. With an eclectic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar, and pop-style piano with trap beats sprinkled in for flavor, she likes to refer to her genre as, “BlackGirlMagic.” She has been active as a recording artist since 2015, releasing six projects since then. Most recently, she released try&remember: the acoustic album, a continuation of 2021’s TRY&REMEMBER with acoustic renditions of some fan favorites and three brand new songs.
Jackson Hurst emerges as a solo artist with a different sound than he’s known for in the Twin Cities. The church kid forges a congruent and individual music career in the genres of R&B/soul and pop influenced by his roots in gospel. With his debut single, “So Do I”, Hurst is just beginning a new legacy, and a new sound, as an artist.
From Houston TX, Traiveon brings a southern, soulful vibe to the Twin Cities music scene. Traiveon gained respect on drums and vocals by supporting local and touring artists such as Mayyadda, Black Velvet Punks, Joe Davis & The Poetic Diaspora, and Bluehound. When composing for his band Traiveon and Candi, he crafts vocal arrangements that seamlessly blend the classic sounds of Motown with modern R&B and neo-soul.
