SPONSOR: This Sweepstakes is sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio, 480 Cedar Street, St. Paul, MN 55101. (“Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal adult residents of the 50 United States (including District of Columbia) who are the age of majority or older in their state or jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor and its parent companies, affiliates, franchisees, sales representatives, distributors, agents, and vendors involved with this promotion, and the immediate family and household members of all such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

TIMING/ENTRY LIMITS: The Sweepstakes entry will begin at 12:01 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on July 22, 2024 and end July 26, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. (the “Entry Period”). All entries must be received during the Entry Period to be eligible. Any person attempting to submit entries late, to submit on behalf of a group, to submit more than the allotted entries, or to submit entries in any manner that otherwise violates these Official Rules will be ineligible to participate or to receive a prize. Sponsor’s computer clock is the official timekeeper for the Sweepstakes, and entries are not valid until the information is received by the Sponsor’s computer.

HOW TO ENTER: During the Entry Period, visit Sponsor’s website at www.thecurrent.org/events/20240823-killers-flyaway-las-vegas to enter by following the directions on the website and provide all requested information to enter to win the grand prize. Only one entry per person.

By entering, you agree that any information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes may be used by Sponsor for the intended purposes outlined herein. All entry information must be manually keystroked by the entrant. We expressly reserve the right to disqualify any entries that we believe in good faith are generated by an automated program or via any other means that are fraudulent or not allowed by these Official Rules. 

PRIZES: A total of one (1) prize is available.  Prize consists of two tickets to see The Killers at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV on Friday, August 23, 2024, along with airfare for two (2) and one (1) night hotel accommodations, as further outlined below.  Approximate retail value: $2,000. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner acknowledges and agrees that the prize is being provided by The Killers’ Record Label Island Records (“Prize Supplier”) and not by Sponsor.  Winner, on behalf of winner and guest, waive and release any potential claims against Sponsor related to the prize and agrees that any concerns or questions regarding the prize will be directed to Prize Supplier and not Sponsor.

The “prize” consists of and is limited only to two (2) tickets to The Killers Concert scheduled for Friday, August 23, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, including round trip economy air transportation for winner and one (1) guest between an airport close to the winner’s home (selected at the discretion of the Prize Supplier) and Las Vegas, Nevada. If Prize Supplier determines the winner is close enough to Las Vegas for ground transportation, ground transportation will be substituted for airfare at Prize Supplier’s sole discretion and any difference in value will not be awarded;  one (1)-night hotel stay hotel accommodations in the form of one (1) double occupancy standard hotel room in Las Vegas, NV (hotel to be determined at the discretion of Prize Supplier), excluding travel to and from airport, meals, room service, or other incidentals.  Actual value of the prize may fluctuate from the ARV depending on airfare and location of departure city. If the actual value is less than $2,000, the difference will not be awarded as cash or otherwise. Trip must be taken on dates and itineraries as specified herein or prize will be forfeited. Travel and hotel accommodation restrictions apply. Travel arrangements must be made through Prize Supplier and on a carrier of Prize Supplier’s choice. Prize winner and his/her guest are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents and valid driver’s license, as needed, prior to travel and must have no impediment to traveling on the designated dates. Prize winner and his/her guest must travel together on the same itinerary. 

Prize winner’s guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence, unless winner is the guest’s parent or legal guardian. Concert dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Caesar’s Palace operators and may be subject to change.  The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of the prize will govern in the event the event is not held on the specified dates, as applicable, due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason.  Prize winner and his/her guest agree to comply with all applicable concert venue, airline and hotel rules and regulations. Prize Supplier and the applicable event operators reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to the prize winner and/or his/her guest who engage(s) in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the event.  Sponsor, Prize Supplier and the Sweepstakes Entities will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster or disturbances outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of the event or any changes in travel schedules. Concert tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale or used for any commercial or promotional purpose whatsoever. Any such resale or commercial or promotional use may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture and may invalidate the license granted by the event tickets. 

Prize must be accepted as awarded, and prize is awarded “AS IS” with no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, made by Sponsor or Prize Supplier or for which Sponsor or Prize Supplier shall be liable, including, without limitation, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Prizes consist only of items specifically listed as part of the prize or as agreed upon by Prize Supplier in writing. Certain conditions and restrictions may apply, specifically including without limitation any restrictions printed on the tickets and any rules and regulations of the concert operator. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to the prize or incurred by accepting a prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner and guest, including without limitation additional travel costs, meals, parking, and any other expenses incurred in use of the prize. No substitution, cash equivalent, assignment or transfer of a prize is permitted, except by Prize Supplier, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value. Winner is solely responsible for any and all costs, fees, taxes and expenses associated with prize award, receipt and use, including, without limitation, all federal, state and local taxes on the prize. For prizes valued over $600, prize winner will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the retail value of the prize.  If the winner does not wish to accept the prize, an alternate winner may be selected at random from the pool of eligible entrants. All details of the prize not set forth herein will be determined by Prize Supplier in its sole discretion. All entrants and entries are subject to verification prior to the awarding of a prize, as are the eligibility, age and other claims of information provided by a potential prize winner and guest. 

WINNER SELECTION: The potential winner will be selected by random draw on or about July 29, 2024 from all eligible entrants received. The potential winner will be notified using the contact information provided during entry on or about July 29, 2024. The potential winner must reply to the winner notification from the Sponsor within two (2) days to claim the prize.

 If any notification or prize is returned as undeliverable, a requested response is not received by Sponsor in the required timeframe or the original potential winner is deemed ineligible for any reason, the original potential winner will forfeit the prize in its entirety and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entrants. The potential winner and guest may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (if not prohibited by law), and any other necessary documents, including any required tax documents (collectively the “Documents”), within the time specified in the Documents or the prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate winner may be selected. Award of prize and confirmation of winner is contingent upon potential winner’s qualification and compliance with these Official Rules.

PUBLICITY RELEASE:  Except where prohibited, participation in this Sweepstakes and acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s consent that his/her name, likeness, posts, comments, voice and/or biographical data may be used in any medium for advertising and promotional purposes without limitation and without additional notice, compensation or consent. 

LIABILITY LIMITATIONS: If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation disruptions caused by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, acts of God, factors beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control, or any other cause that corrupts, affects or compromises the administration, security, fairness, integrity, proper conduct or intended play of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that Sponsor deems responsible. In such situations, Sponsor further reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, and substitute an appropriate alternate method of entry and prize award selection, including to award the prize from among all valid and eligible entries received up to the time the Sweepstakes was interrupted. 

Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen entries, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, including any erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize.  Sponsor is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor due to technical problem or traffic, congestion on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes.  ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. 

LIABILITY RELEASE: By entering, entrant agrees to accept and abide by the Official Rules of this Sweepstakes and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Sweepstakes, rule interpretation or award of a prize, shall be resolved by Sponsor or the Prize Supplier, whose decisions shall be binding and final. 

By participating, entrant and winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Prize Supplier, any relevant social media channels, related promotional retail partners and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, service agencies, independent contractors, and the officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives of any of the above organizations (“Sweepstakes Entities”) from any injury, loss or damage to person, including but not limited to death or property damage due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly to the acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize, participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity, or participation in the Sweepstakes. 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION/CHOICE OF LAW:  Issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action, exclusively by the appropriate federal or Minnesota State Court. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of Minnesota and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of Minnesota. All judgments or awards shall be limited to actual incurred out-of-pocket expenses (excluding attorneys' fees) associated with participation in this Sweepstakes and shall not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages.

WINNERS LIST: The name of the grand prize winner will be announced via Sponsor’s website shortly following the end of the Sweepstakes.
