The one and only Queen of Memphis Soul Carla Thomas comes to The Parkway!

For this very rare performance, the Stax Records legend will be joined by the Take Me To The River All-Stars Memphis Revue, a collection of some of the legendary Memphis musical talents who created countless classic hits that have stood the test of time.

This not-to-be-missed night comes to life with The Legendary Hi Rhythm Section (the band behind 27 Gold and Platinum Records in a row, including all of Al Green’s classics) along with vocalist Jerome Chism, GRAMMY winner Boo Mitchell (Producer, Engineer, and Musical Director of Take Me to the River All-Stars, the son of legendary Willie Mitchell, and owner of Royal Studios) and GRAMMY winner Martin Shore (Producer, Director, Musician).

The night is guaranteed to have everyone dancing, shaking, and smiling – as if transported to Memphis itself! Take Me to the River is a movement of social consciousness, created to chronicle our master musicians, their legacies, culture, heritage and history, while celebrating the cultural gift to the world, Popular Music.
