by Steve Seel and Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles
June 28, 2007
Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles began with the intention of just some friends getting together on Sunday afternoons to drink some beer and play some cover songs. Their sound is a mix of country, rock, and '80s punk.
Sarah Borges soon found herself at producer Paul Q. Kolderie's Camp Street studios and the chemistry between the two was instant. Through their collaborative effort, two songs from their first recording session ended up on the final mix of her debut CD, Silver City in 2005.
With the release of their latest project, Diamonds in the Dark, Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles are sure to win over new fans with this release and surely won't disappoint old ones.
Sarah Borges & The Broken Singles were in the Twin Cities for a performance at The Turf club in St. Paul and stopped by the Current beforehand to play a few songs and to talk with Steve Seel.
Songs performed: "The Day We Met," "Modern Trick" and "Diablito."
