Formed by former members of '80s and '90s Minneapolis greats Trip Shakespeare—one of whom, Matt Wilson, is the brother of Semisonic's Dan Wilson, and other of whom, John Munson was that band's bassist—The Twilight Hours came onto the local music scene already steeped in the cities' indie tradition. Alluding to their deep, Minnesotan musical roots, Wilson has said that his and Munson's work in the Twilight Hours takes them "right back to the same phantom sound we have been chasing for years and years." With 2009's full-length Stereo Night and an extensive (and growing) history of gigs around town, that chase is well underway. The Current is proud to welcome The Twilight Hours back to our State Fair stage.

Songs played: "Rain," "Winter Blue" and "Maybe."
