Pseudonyms are well-traveled terrority for singer-songwriter Ben Gibbard. His prolific career has seen him create music for Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service and ¡All-Time Quarterback!, among others. Now, more than 15 years after Death Cab's You Can Play These Songs with Chords debut, Gibbard is finally releasing an album under his real name.
A native Washingtonian, Ben Gibbard stopped by his hometown public radio station, Seattle's KEXP, to record two exclusive tracks for 89.3 The Current. You can listen to both songs here and download "Hard One To Know" from our Song of the Day podcast.
