Welcome to our new website
January 08, 2013

We're ringing in the new year with an better, faster, stronger website. In addition to the new look, here are a few improvements you'll experience as you browse.
Responsive Design
Leave your reading glasses at home, because the days of zooming and squinting at your phone are over. Using a technique called Responsive Web Design, our new site detects your device and adjusts the layout accordingly.
Check It Out: Adjust the size of your browser window and watch the homepage dynamically re-align its layout.
Super Streams
Our playlist and web stream are the most popular areas of our site. These pages are now easier to find, more visually attractive and offer more functionality to the user. Never has it been easier to find the exact song you're looking for (and stumble into a few you didn't know you were looking for along the way).
Check It Out: Quickly switch between streams using our new audio player.
Easy Access to Web Content
We have so much fresh and exciting online content every week, some of it was inevitably lost in the chaos of our homepage. Not anymore! Our new design makes it easier to find web features. From in-studio performances and reviews to videos, blog posts and slideshows, it looks better here.
Check It Out: Click "view more photos" at the bottom of this feature to see our new gallery functionality.
Performance Updates
It may not seem as obvious as a new homepage, but we've made a ton of improvements to the back-end of how the site runs. What this means is you'll notice faster and smoother performance while on the site.
Check It Out: Our new video page runs smoother than ever.
We hope you love the site as much as we already do. We are very excited about the new, exciting content this site will allow us to deliver to you. Thank you to the designer and developers who worked to make this site a reality (humans.txt), the listeners who provided testing feedback during the beta process and — most of all — you. Your continued support of The Current makes everything we do possible.
