Today in Music History: Always A Big Day For Prince
June 07, 2013
History Highlight:
It's Prince's 55th birthday, although he doesn't celebrate, being a Jehovah's Witness. On his 35th birthday on this day in 1993, Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol, and became known as The Artist Formerly Known As Prince. 11 years later on this day, his Musicology album entered the top 10. So, June 7th is pretty much always a big day in Prince history no matter how you slice it ... from Musicology, we played the title track.
