Brother Ali headlining this year’s West Bank Music Fest

by Andrea Swensson

June 13, 2013

The West Bank Music Festival, a burgeoning multi-venue gathering that is the Twin Cities' closest thing to South by Southwest, will return to Cedar-Riverside on Saturday, August 17.

Now in its fourth year, the festival seems to be expanding steadily, with the main stage transitioning out of the Nomad Pub's parking lot last year and into the street. Cedar will be shut down once again this year to make room for the crowds, and Brother Ali has been tapped to headline the fest—a sure sign of its continuous growth.

Other acts on the bill include Mark Mallman, Mike Mictlan (who should have a new album due by the end of the year), and West Bank regulars the F Knights.

Here's the lineup so far, with many more acts to be announced—including lineups for Palmer's Bar, the Cedar Cultural Center, and the Cabooze.
