He has won four Grammy awards including the Lifetime Achievement award, is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and his instrumental "Green Onions" track was recently added to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry for being a "culturally, historically, and aesthetically important" American sound. But Booker T. Jones just likes making music.

The Morning Show's Steve Steel spoke to Booker T. Jones about his forthcoming R&B and blues album Sound the Alarm out on Stax records, the soul label that he first made music with when he was just 13-years-old. Jones discusses the direction his music has taken as of late and mentions artists featured on the album including Poncho Sanchez, longtime Prince collaborator Sheila Escovedo, and his soccer-player-turned-guitar-guru son.
