It's hard to get a feel of a city when your visits are no more than 12 hours. Well, I guess Fitz and The Tantrums did get a feel--of the weather, that is. Vocalist Noelle Scaggs refused to purchase a winter coat when they visited the Twin Cities in the dead of winter a couple years back. "You get used to it." We feel you, Noelle. We feel you.

The second Twin Cities visit around was in the small eight (or less) week window of the hot and humid summer weather that Minnesotans live for. Comparing the two visits, there was something like a 110 degree difference. Uffda.

The weather was just perfect this go around. Fitz and The Tantrums, lead by vocalist Michael Fitzpatrick, had their latest Minneapolis appearance at The Varsity Theater on June 17. For the first time there was more than 12 hours to spare in the city, so they stopped by The Current studios to chat with Mary Lucia and shared some of their favorite tracks.
