9:30 Coffee Break: New York Songs
September 11, 2013

September 11 is a uniting touch point for Americans. This morning we were discussing where we were those twelve years ago when we heard the news of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center. After a lengthy delay, the 1,776-foot-tall One World Trade Center was finally completed at the World Trade Center site in New York City earlier this year. Many New Yorkers will probably walk by today to acknowledge and reflect on the events on 9/11 and what has happened in the twelve years since it occurred.
While it isn't much, we thought we would use the Coffee Break to reflect on the spirit of the city of New York. What songs about New York would you like to hear for the 9:30 Coffee Break?
On a much lighter note, we're gearing up for our September Coffee Break on the Road and would love to visit you. This month we're bring local band Ginkgo, treats from Salty Tart, and Peace Coffee. To enter just tell us why we should visit you: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org
