What's up with cherry wine? Have you ever drank any? Why is it that the mysterious intoxicant pops up so frequently in songs? Listener Joe wrote in to say, "[cherry wine] has to be one of the all-time biggest music cliches, which is odd because no one ever actually drinks cherry wine." So many questions to be answered and we will do our best with today's Coffee Break to approach the answers.

What songs mentioning "cherry wine" should we play for today's 9:30 Coffee Break? Also, if you are someone who frequently drinks cherry wine, please share why you enjoy it.

Sign up to win our Coffee Break on the Road. Jill and Steve will head out the last Friday of October with treats from Gigi's Cafe and musical guest Rhett Miller. Rhett will join Wits Friday, Oct. 25th, but you'll get a sneak preview in your office if you win. Enter by writing an entertaining email to: CoffeeBreak@TheCurrent.org
