Ahead of their show tonight at the 7th Street Entry, Lucius — the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based indie-pop band fronted by singers Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe — stopped into The Current's studios to chat with Mary Lucia and to play a few songs off their album, Wildewoman.

Lucius are on an ambitious tour right now; they're continuing through the Midwest before going to the eastern U.S. and Canada. On Nov. 6, they'll head to Europe for dates in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the U.K.

Jess and Holly talked about how long they've been singing and writing music together, how they've evolved to the point of wearing matching outfits, and about which artists inspire them musically as well as in terms of visual presence onstage.

They also talk about how they had wanted to work with Mom + Pop Music and how, after signing with the label, it feels "like a family."
