MPR's Movie Maven and Cube Critic Stephanie Curtis joins Steve Seel and Jill Riley to talk about an updated remake of the 1986 romantic comedy of the same name.

The update is set in Los Angeles and it stars Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Michael Ealy and Joy Bryant. About Last Night is directed by Steve Pink.

Stephanie says About Last Night is a good movie for a Valentine's Day date, but she advises potential viewers to "make sure you're comfortable enough in your relationship because some of the humor may be awkward" for first daters or those who are early in relationships. And by all means, it is not a prerequisite to see the original to enjoy this new film.

Bonus: Listen to the audio to hear Steve, Jill and Stephanie compare experiences of bad choices for first-date films.

About Last Night is rated R and is screening in many movie theaters throughout the region.

MPR's Movie Maven, Stephanie Curtis, joins The Current's Morning Show to talk about films every Friday at 8:30 a.m.
