Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Jill Riley and Steve Seel about:

1) Welcome back, Joe Mauer. After a disastrous start to the season and plenty of criticism from fans, Joe Mauer was great in a four-game sweep for the Twins over the White Sox.

2) The NBA draft is Thursday, and hopefully a resolution to all of the Kevin Love rumors is close behind. Which team is offering the best trade package for the Wolves star?

3) The US was minutes away from beating Portugal on Sunday and ensuring a place in the knockout stage of the World Cup. Instead, Portugal got a late goal for a draw, and the Americans have work to do Thursday vs Germany.
