Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Jill Riley and Steve Seel about:

1) The Wolves drafted Zach LaVine from UCLA with the No. 13 pick Thursday, and his immediate reaction caused a stir on social media. I will explain as delicately as possible and also get into what he really meant when he dropped an f-bomb.

2) World Cup fever continues in the US as the Americans face Belgium on Tuesday in the round of 16. The US is hoping to reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 2002.

3) The Twins return home after a long road trip, and the biggest piece of good news for the team is this: Joe Mauer is hitting like himself again.
