With the smash success of her new My Everything, Ariana Grande has debuted at the top of the Billboard album chart with both of her first two albums. That puts her in the incongruous company of the most recent female artist to do so: Susan Boyle. Boyle and Grande are also two of only three women to top the album chart with two different albums in less than a year since SoundScan started tracking sales in 1991; the third is LeAnn Rimes (Billboard).

Local artists Father You See Queen were ahead of the curve with their 3D video for "Oceans": when Samsung's Gear VR 3D headset is released later this year, says Vevo, the video streaming service will be ready with immersive music videos. (Billboard)

On their 1977 album Animals, Pink Floyd criticized inequality in the British economy. If Battersea Power Station, depicted on the cover of that album, was meant to be emblematic of economic exploitation, it would seem to be a win that the station is now being torn down—except that it's being torn down to make way for luxury housing.
