September 15, 2014

Perhaps it's their brotherly bond that does it, but Mikaiah and Anaiah Lei of the Bots can rock. Turns out they can share a good laugh, too.

Fresh from their gig at Riot Fest in Chicago on Saturday and gearing up for a show tonight in the Nether Bar at Mill City Nights, Los Angeles duo the Bots stopped into The Current's studio to play some songs and to talk with Mark Wheat.

In a lively and entertaining interview, the Bots talk about their Riot Fest experience, about how their parents' musical tastes may have inspired the music they make, how they've toured with Blur, and how they once inadvertently spent three days in Minnesota after their tour vehicle broke down.

Mikaiah and Anaiah's chemistry is infectious, and it rubbed off quickly on Mark Wheat. Listen to the complete audio to hear what producer Linsday Kimball calls "one of the funniest interviews ever" with three energetic, rocking tunes punctuating the session.
