L’Assassins: Kill Kill Kill! Bang Bang Bang!
The garage-punk quartet L’Assassins release Kill Kill Kill! Bang Bang Bang! this week. The EP release party will be at the Triple Rock Social Club on Saturday. The women of L'Assassins will be joined by Fury Things, Leather Sweater, and Calabrese. “Haji Shake” is a track that exemplifies the punky attitude L’Assassins have always brought, but the surf-rock vibes have crept into this track and the EP as a whole. The EP is described as a murder-mystery concept record in which L’Assassins seek revenge against a leather-gloved butcher. Check it out to see if the L’Assassins are granted their revenge.
The Modern Era: Where Was I (When I Needed Me)

The boys of the Modern Era rocked the Fine Line last Friday to celebrate their newest EP Where Was I (When I Needed Me). They brought their melodic guitar work, virtuosic vocals, and high energy to the stage. The title track exemplifies the EP's overarching sense of bitterness and regret, with soaring guitar work.
The Lazy Kids: Tunnel Visions
The Lazy Kids are back to release their sophomore effort Tunnel Visions. They will be celebrating the release at the 7th Street Entry on Oct. 20, accompanied by the Graveyard Club and Skittish. The single “Knock Kncok, Pudding Head” offers a good preview of the amazing guitar work that will be on the album. Bluesy guitar work maneuvers around lead singer Oz’s Anthony-Kiedis-like vocals.
Laura Lou: Seduction Lullaby

Singer-songwriter Laura Lou is dropping her debut EP Seduction Lullaby this week. The EP showcases Lou’s strong songwriting ability and her soft-but-sweet vocals that leave you with a sense of warmth. Lou’s vocals are backed by the Loungeabouts, filling the EP full of Americana vibes. Lou’s CD release show will be at the Aster Café on Sunday.
